grid post

 

I found this spread in Veer Magazine’s June 2009 issue. I think this is a really cool way to use the rule of thirds. There is a very obvious balanced 3×3 grid, and it is filled in with picto-type that are either directly aligned in the grids or often briefly breaking grids. Balanced with the hot pink text that spans over two grid boxes, the boxes create a contained chaos effect which I think is very interesting.
