Magazine Grids

In this particle magazine spread, there are 32 rows and 18 columns. To get this approximation, I started counting from the smallest rows and columns. I also noticed that the designer utilized the golden-ration rule. Starting from where the two columns start is “b” while the image on the rest of the page becomes the “a” where the sum of quantities to the larger quantity is equal to the ratio of the larger quantity to the smaller one.
