Current Event

I did a search for corporate logos that have recently undergone changes and was immediately struck by Pepsi. Throughout my lifetime, I have always known Pepsi by it’s distinct colors rather than a specific logo design as it was constantly evolving. While I think the logo maintained the most important aspects of each of the logos that came before it, I think it is interesting that such a large company with huge brand-loyalty has successfully revamped their logo so many times. What I like about the current logo is the elimination of the text. I think the shapes and colors are so iconic that it actually stands better without typography. However, if I had to chose I favorite, I would actually say the 1962 bottle cap is the most interesting visually.
