I think this poster for Dark Knight is really effective. The use of imagery really “stops you in your tracks” and the composition is well done. The color palette is relatively limited to greens and dark colors, keeping the design simple to the eye. Furthermore, the positioning of the text allows for a fair amount of “white space”.

The second poster is not as well designed. There are too many shapes, colors and text blurbs for the design to be visually cohesive. The poster has no established hierarchy and no distinct color scheme. It is chaotic and unappealing. There is nothing that jumps out at you and pulls you in to find out what the poster is about.
