Typography

 

I chose the Starbucks logo not only because I like the text, but because of the changes that are going on in the brand right now. Starbucks is taking the typeface off of their logo, leaving only a picture. This has already sparked a lot of controversy. People are skeptical as to whether the integrity of the brand will be maintained without the strong, powerful Starbucks name on the logo. I think this speaks to the power of typography. It should be interesting to see how long this change lasts!
